The Consell Comarcal del Pallars Sobirà recently activated an agricultural job exchange and recovered 150 hectares of pastures within the framework of the BEEP project, aiming to revitalize the primary sector.

The BEEP project (Pyrenean Companies and Employees Exchange), which has a Pyrenean and even supra-regional scope, has allowed the Consell Comarcal del Pallars Sobirà to create a tool to connect primary sector companies with individuals interested in working in rural areas.
This initiative has been complemented by the recovery of 150 hectares of pastures in the region. The municipalities of Soriguera, Llavorsí, Alt Àneu, and la Guingueta d’Àneu participated directly in this task, working in coordination with the livestock farmers in these municipalities.

The objective is to facilitate the continuity of agricultural and livestock farms, ensuring generational replacement and sustainable territory management.

The pasture recovery plan has not only been developed in Pallars Sobirà but has also been extended to the Huesca demarcation, where an additional 100 hectares have been cleared, demonstrating cross-border collaboration in the management of high mountain territory.
