Actress Marina de Barta, originally from Mollerussa, has experienced a unique professional milestone by participating as an extra in Amarga Navidad, the latest film project by renowned director Pedro Almodóvar.

The performer from Pla d'Urgell, who has lived in Madrid for a year and a half to train in audiovisual acting, joined the project through a background casting process. Despite initial doubts due to other commitments, the opportunity to work with the Spanish director led her to join the production by El Deseo.
De Barta appears in one of the film's most significant sequences, featuring actor Patrick Criado. Beyond her screen appearance, the young actress values the learning experience of watching a top-tier crew at work and Almodóvar's attentive approach to his actors.

"Being able to see his team and Almodóvar work was a gift. He is someone who takes great care of his actors."

A highlight from the set involved a scene where she had to pretend to smoke despite being a non-smoker, leading to her keeping a production lighter as a lucky charm. Currently, Marina de Barta continues her career in the capital, noting the strong presence of professionals from Lleida in major audiovisual productions.
