The Mollerussa City Council awarded the construction of a new bike lane on Canal Avenue this February to promote sustainable mobility and enhance cyclist safety in the area.

The works were awarded to the company Tallers Vidal Amill, SLU for a total of 138,357 euros. The project, scheduled to begin this February, has a three-month execution period and will run between the Arbeca street roundabout and the Miralcamp road junction.

"The works will partially affect the distribution of the exhibition area of the Fira de Sant Josep."

Marc Solsona · Mayor of Mollerussa
The new layout will move the lane next to the garden area to increase user protection. The project includes a two-way lane with physical separators, elevated pedestrian crossings, and the removal of architectural barriers to create a continuous platform.
This action is part of the comprehensive remodeling of Canal Avenue, which also includes improvements to sidewalks, paving, and trees to increase pedestrian comfort in the public space.
