The incident took place on Avinguda del Canal, where the victim was thrown to the ground. Investigators from the Pla d'Urgell unit identified the suspects after finding the stolen bag on the LV-2001 road days later. The group is known for specializing in thefts at weekly markets across Catalonia.

The three individuals, who have a combined total of 60 criminal records, were apprehended in Arbeca, Igualada, and Cerdanyola del Vallès. They now face charges of robbery with violence and intimidation.
