The Mossos d'Esquadra police force has arrested three men aged 38 to 54 for a violent robbery against a woman with limited mobility in Mollerussa in January 2025.

The investigation by the Mollerussa Investigation Unit concluded this week with arrests in Igualada, Cerdanyola del Vallès, and Arbeca. The victim was assaulted on Avinguda del Canal, where she was pushed to the ground so the thieves could steal her handbag from her walker.
Although a local guard in Juneda intercepted the getaway vehicle shortly after the crime, the suspects were initially released due to a lack of immediate evidence. The case was reopened after a resident of Torregrossa found the stolen bag near the LV-4001 road, providing new leads for the detectives.
The three detainees, who have a total of 60 criminal records for various thefts across Catalonia, are now awaiting their appearance before the duty court in Lleida.
