Journalist and writer Francesc Canosa presented his new book, La Catalunya discoteca. Big Ben, la conquesta de la nit, at the Plató room of the Big Ben nightclub in Golmés, gathering 500 people for an event commemorating the venue's fiftieth anniversary.

Five hundred people, the same number of witnesses the author interviewed for his work, filled the main room of the popular Big Ben nightclub, now known as Plató. This time, however, attendees followed the event seated, for the presentation of Canosa's book, which chronicles the history of the 'Big Ben Generation' from the 1970s to the early 21st century.
The presentation, which coincided with the celebration of the nightclub's 50th anniversary, featured the presence of Mag Lari. The event lasted for four intense hours, transforming from a literary gathering into a true party.

"We danced, the floor was full of heterogeneous, diverse people. It was very Big Ben."

Canosa emphasized that the goal was not only to remember Big Ben as the capital of the night but to turn it into 'the capital of pride for how well we had it here'. During the evening, couples who had met at the venue in the seventies, eighties, and nineties reconnected. After the literary segment, chairs were removed, and music resumed, filling the dance floor.
The author argues that the Ponent region pioneered two major industries: agri-food and entertainment. According to Canosa, 'first the day was colonized with the Canal d’Urgell; then, the night'. He added that the nightclub was 'the Tinder of its era and changed millions of lives'.
The event, organized by the Pla d'Urgell Regional Council and Big Ben, with the collaboration of the Comanegra publishing house and the Golmés City Council, received support from the IEI, the Dalmases bookstore in Mollerussa, and Grup SEGRE.
