Traffic restrictions in Banyoles and Olot for the 2026 Volta a Catalunya

The second stage of the cycling race will lead to street closures and parking bans this Tuesday, March 24.

The second stage of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya 2026 will cause significant mobility restrictions in Banyoles and Olot this Tuesday, March 24.

The race, connecting Figueres and Banyoles, will impact traffic across the Garrotxa and Pla de l'Estany regions. The cyclists are expected to pass through Olot around 4:09 PM, with the final sprint at Passeig Mossèn Lluís Constans in Banyoles scheduled for 5:00 PM.
In Banyoles, parking bans will begin on the night of Monday, March 23. On Tuesday, major roads such as Passeig de la Indústria and Pare Claret will face closures, with a total traffic halt in the finish area between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM.
In Olot, the Local Police and Civil Protection will manage closures as the race enters via the A-26. An intermediate sprint is planned on Avinguda Sant Jordi, with the main traffic disruptions occurring between 3:45 PM and 4:30 PM.
