A local farmer died this Wednesday in Marçà after being struck by a Plan Alternativo de Transporte (PAT) microbus that veered off the T-300 road near the railway station.

The accident took place around 3:00 PM. The vehicle, which was empty at the time, fell down a slope and crashed into a small shed on the victim's land. The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Móra d'Ebre Hospital, according to the Mossos d'Esquadra police force.
This incident marks the fourth road fatality in the Tarragona province during 2026. Emergency services, including four Fire Brigade units and SEM ambulances, attended the scene near the R15 train line route.
