Civil Protection activated the Inuncat plan alert today, December 15, in the counties of Tarragona and the Terres de l'Ebre due to the expected accumulation of more than 200 liters of rain.

Civil Protection of the Generalitat has activated the alert phase of the Inuncat plan in the Terres de l'Ebre and Camp de Tarragona due to the accumulation of more than 200 liters of rain per square meter. Furthermore, an ES-Alert message has been sent to mobile phones in the counties of Baix Camp, Priorat, and Ribera d'Ebre, asking the population to exercise caution, especially when traveling and in flood-prone areas.

Risk of flooding due to river overflow now and in the coming hours. Exercise extreme caution, avoid unnecessary travel, and stay away from streams and ravines.

Since 8 AM, the Bombers (Firefighters) have responded to six calls related to rain, all in Priorat, mostly due to water accumulation, although intervention was ultimately not required. Significant accumulation is also expected in Alt Empordà, Garrotxa, and Selva, as well as intense rainfall along the coast, pre-coastal areas, and central counties.
Rainfall has been abundant in pre-coastal and Ponent sectors, according to the Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya. Accumulated precipitation data until 9:30 AM highlights Falset with nearly 150 mm, El Perelló (Baix Ebre) with 95.1 mm, Torroja del Priorat (Priorat) with 83.4 mm, and L'Ametlla de Mar (Baix Ebre) with 82.9 mm.
Train circulation on the R15 line is interrupted in two sections: between Faió La Pobla de Massaluca and Casp due to an infrastructure incident in Nonasp, and between Pradell and Móra la Nova due to water accumulation in Marçà-Falset. Alternative road transport services have been established in both affected areas.
