This intervention is part of the road conditioning works, which began in July 2025, with a total investment of 1,989,845.17 euros. The works are expected to be completed next autumn, benefiting the 2,726 vehicles that circulate daily on this road.
“"These are priority actions, as they will improve the safety and coexistence of users of this road."
The widening of the bridge, which is 46.80 meters long, will increase its width to 9.1 meters. This new configuration will include one-meter shoulders on each side and the necessary space for vehicle containment systems, reinforcing the existing structure.
To facilitate the execution of the works, a provisional alternative passage has been enabled within the riu Sec ravine, which has been operational since the beginning of the year. This diversion will be removed in early summer, once the bridge works are completed.
In addition to the bridge work, the T-324 project includes the widening of the road to 8 meters over a 2-kilometer stretch, the improvement of two curves at the access to the waste collection point in Móra d'Ebre, and the construction of a 34-meter diameter roundabout at the Verdeguera industrial estate. Walkable ditches will also be installed, access to properties and paths will be improved, and safety barriers and signage will be renewed.
