The Tivissa City Council has approved the 2025–2028 Reading Promotion Plan, a strategic document funded by the Generalitat de Catalunya to boost local cultural habits.

The project aims to organize existing actions and launch new initiatives for all citizens in the Ribera d'Ebre region. It identifies reading as a key tool for personal and educational development, highlighting the Open Library (Casa de Cultura) as a primary cultural venue.
The strategy focuses on four areas: knowledge promotion, social inclusion, creativity, and strengthening the library's role. Planned actions include school programs, new reading clubs for different ages, and closer cooperation with local associations.
By 2028, Tivissa intends to establish a permanent roadmap for municipal reading policies, making literature a central element of the town's cultural life.
