This new initiative by the Tivissa Town Council, in collaboration with the Sant Blai Board and the Festivities Commission, aims to expand and strengthen one of the municipality's most deeply rooted traditions, consolidating the festivity as a winter event with its own identity.
Despite the new weekend format, the celebration maintains its most emblematic events. On Tuesday, February 3, Sant Blai Day, the Holy Mass will take place at the hermitage with the traditional blessing of fruits.
The collective effort of the entities and the Town Council has been key to making this first edition possible, with the desire for the Sant Blai Winter Festival to continue in the coming years.
On Sunday, February 8, the pilgrimage (romeria) will once again be the focus of the festival, including mass, sardana dancing, a popular vermouth, the distribution of the caldereta (stew), and various traditional games for all ages.
Between these key days, the program includes proposals for all audiences during Friday and Saturday, such as activities involving fire and music, contests, popular meals, workshops, dance afternoons, and family dynamics, aiming to foster participation and community coexistence.
