The municipality of Tivissa will host a solidarity gathering dedicated to dogs on Saturday, May 9, featuring recreational activities and awareness campaigns for animal adoption.

This initiative has a dual purpose: to offer a space for coexistence and fun for pets and their owners, while also raising funds for animal shelters and promoting the adoption of homeless dogs. The event will be centered at the town's football field, with a program designed for all ages and for dogs of all breeds.
The idea originated from the relationship between two dogs, a border collie and a large mixed-breed, whose owners decided to organize a gathering that would give special visibility to large dogs, which are often less present in these types of events. Nevertheless, the day is open to all sizes and breeds.
Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy a fair area with commercial stands and the participation of shelters such as Protectora Simba and Associació CatusCamp. These entities will be responsible for promoting responsible adoption and offering awareness talks on animal ownership.
The activity program includes a gathering of border collies, a contest for the largest dog, agility exhibitions, and the first edition of Pàdel Dog in Catalonia, a proposal that combines sport and pets. There will also be play areas, activities to strengthen the bond between animals and owners, and a festive atmosphere with music and food trucks.
