A fire that broke out on Thursday afternoon in Vinebre, in the Ribera d'Ebre region, has burned approximately twelve hectares of vegetation, mainly Mediterranean scrubland.

The blaze, which started around 4:45 PM, mobilized up to seventeen Firefighter units, including four aerial resources. During the extinguishing efforts, one helicopter and one surveillance and attack plane were withdrawn.
According to information from the Rural Agents corps, one person suffered minor injuries and had to be evacuated due to difficult access to the area. The Rural Agents have begun an investigation to determine the causes of the incident.
Firefighters explained that the left flank of the fire was advancing towards cultivated fields, while the right flank had been partially stabilized using water and manual tools.
