Protecció Civil maintains the alert for the Neucat and Vencat plans this Sunday due to intense snowfall in the Pyrenees and strong wind gusts exceeding 70 km/h across much of Catalonia.

According to Meteocat forecasts, the snowfalls began Sunday evening and mainly affect the Western and Central Pyrenees. The maximum danger is concentrated in the regions of Vall d'Aran and Pallars Sobirà, while Alt Urgell, Alta Ribagorça, Cerdanya, Pallars Jussà, and Ripollès are at lower risk. It is expected that over 30 centimeters of new snow could accumulate above 2,000 meters.
Regarding the wind, the Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya (SMC) expects gusts that may exceed 80 km/h in areas such as Ponent, the Western Pyrenees, Central Catalonia, and the Central coast. Furthermore, the avalanche risk remains high (level 4 out of 5) in the sectors of Pallaresa, Prepirineu, Vessant Nord Cadí-Moixeró, and Ter-Freser.

Civil Protection urges extreme caution when traveling by road and during outdoor activities, as the blizzard phenomenon (torb) in high mountains can impair visibility and cause disorientation.

The most notable road disruptions include the closure of the C-28 at Port de la Bonaigua due to avalanche risk, where the Departament de Territori is working on controlled avalanches to clear the road. The BV-4031 at Coll de la Creueta (between Castellar de n'Hug and Toses) also remains closed, and chains are required on several sections, such as the C-38 in Molló (Ripollès).
Since the start of the episode until 12:00 PM this Sunday, the 112 emergency telephone has received a total of 1,190 calls related to the storm. The Bombers de la Generalitat (Firefighters) have responded to over 310 alerts to remove branches, fallen trees, or landslides, mainly in the Central Emergency Region and the Tarragona region.
