The Catalan Firefighters (Bombers) discovered a lifeless body this Sunday in the Mogent river, Llinars del Vallès, within the search area for a driver missing since Friday's heavy rains.

The body was found at 11:30 AM on the left bank of the river, approximately 400 meters from where the victim's van was located. The vehicle had been dragged 2.4 kilometers by the current after the 70-year-old man attempted to cross a flooded passage.
The three-day operation involved 40 personnel daily, including GRAE specialist units and drones. Meanwhile, in the Ripollès region, a landslide on the N-260 road between Ripoll and Sant Joan de les Abadesses left a driver seriously injured and hospitalized in Girona.

"It may seem like there is little water, but when it flows at speed, 20 or 30 centimeters is enough to wash a person away."
