Civil Protection maintains the Neucat and Ventcat alerts due to the arrival of a new front bringing intense snowfall above 900 meters in the Pyrenees and wind gusts exceeding 70 km/h across much of Catalonia starting Sunday evening.

The snow front will mainly affect the Western and Central Pyrenees, with particular impact on Vall d'Aran, Pallars Sobirà, and to a lesser extent, Alt Urgell, Alta Ribagorça, Cerdanya, Pallars Jussà, and Ripollès. Throughout the episode, starting Sunday evening, more than 30 centimeters of new snow could accumulate above 2,000 meters.
Regarding the wind, the Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya (SMC) expects gusts that may exceed 80 km/h in Ponent, the Western Pyrenees, Central Catalonia, and the Central coast. The west-component wind poses a risk of strong gusts in counties in Camp de Tarragona, Penedès, and the metropolitan area, including Baix Camp, Alt Camp, Tarragonès, Baix Penedès, Alt Penedès, Garraf, and Baix Llobregat.
Civil Protection urges extreme caution when traveling by road and engaging in outdoor activities. In high mountains, the torb phenomenon (blizzard) can severely reduce visibility. Furthermore, the avalanche risk remains high (level 4 out of 5) in key sectors such as Pallaresa, Prepirineu, North Slope Cadí-Moixeró, and Ter-Freser.
The road network, according to the Servei Català de Trànsit (SCT), is returning to normal after the previous snowfall, although closures remain, such as the C-28 at the Bonaigua pass due to avalanche risk, and the BV-4031 at the Creueta pass. Chains are also required on sections like the C-38 in Molló (Ripollès). Since the beginning of the episode, the 112 emergency phone has received 1,190 calls, and the Bombers de la Generalitat have responded to over 310 alerts, mainly for fallen trees or landslides.
