Railway services on the R3 Rodalies line were interrupted this Saturday morning between the stations of Ripoll and Ribes de Freser due to copper theft from the infrastructure.

The incident, described as an act of vandalism, caused a train to stop on the tracks due to a lack of tension in the overhead catenary. As an emergency measure, an alternative road transport service using buses has been established to cover the route between the two affected stations. Civil Protection has activated the Ferrocat plan's pre-alert status.
In parallel, the R11 Rodalies line also experienced disruptions this Saturday morning. Service is cut between the stations of Figueres and Portbou due to another train stopped because of a lack of tension in the catenary. Renfe is arranging alternative road transport for affected passengers.
