Man arrested in Ripoll for violent robbery of 530 euros

The suspect assaulted a man in the town center and fled on a bicycle before being caught by police.

The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a 42-year-old man in Ripoll on February 8th following a violent robbery in the town center during the early hours of the morning.

The incident occurred around 4:30 AM on Prat Street. A witness found the victim lying on the ground with facial injuries. The victim reported being attacked by a man he had briefly encountered earlier in a local bar.
The assailant stole 530 euros and a bank card before fleeing. Police officers located the suspect thirty minutes later riding a bicycle near Arquet Bridge. He was found with the stolen cash and card and was taken into custody.
