The suspect was detained by the Mossos d'Esquadra following an incident last Wednesday evening. According to the High Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC), he faces charges of sexual assault with violence and intimidation, as well as aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon.

The victim was walking her dog when she was attacked and held by the suspect, who allegedly used a sharp object to cause her injuries. Following a police investigation, the man was arrested in Ripoll on Thursday morning. The local community held a protest on Friday to condemn the violence.
