The R3 commuter rail line has faced new disruptions this Tuesday. Train circulation is completely stopped between the Vic and Ribes de Freser stations due to an incident on the railway infrastructure. Furthermore, a copper theft has caused trains to be unable to run between La Garriga and El Figaró.
These issues occurred on the same day the line was partially resuming service on a section that had been closed for works since June 11th, specifically between Vic and Torelló. With the new disruptions, trains are currently only operating between El Figaró and Vic.
To ensure the mobility of affected passengers, alternative bus services have been arranged. These buses cover the route between Fabra i Puig station in Barcelona and the towns of Puigcerdà and La Tor de Querol.
Additionally, the R14 line has also resumed service between La Plana-Picamoixons and Vinaixa. This section had been closed since last Monday due to another copper theft that caused a fire at a transformer station in Montblanc.
