The festivities, which began on Friday with the opening speech by Carme Font, filled the streets of Ripoll with a diverse program. Music was a major highlight, with performances by groups such as Doctor Prats, 31 Fam, and Banda Neon in plaça Gran, plaça Monestir, and Espai la Lira, despite some threats of rain.
Among the most notable events was the presentation of the gegantó Sunyer I, son of Ripoll's giants, who joins the giant-carrying group and will be officially baptized this week. Similarly, the Marranàs, a new figure in the Ripollès bestiary, made its debut on Saturday descending the stairs of Sant Pere accompanied by the Eudalets.
“"I feel 100% Ripollesa, for me it is a great honor and for Ripoll and Sant Eudald, everything! Now, this one is not from Ripoll either, it's from outside, so all the good ones are from outside."
Other activities that enlivened the Festa Major included the traditional correfoc (fire run) by the Diables de Ripoll through the old town, the andróminas race with three participants, and the traditional dança dels clavells (carnation dance) in the plaça de l'Ajuntament, which once again depicted the most representative figures of the locality.
