Mayors across the Ripollès region are coordinating efforts this Sunday to manage the aftermath of a violent windstorm that has caused widespread power outages and blocked key transport routes.

The severe weather conditions began early in the morning, resulting in fallen trees and damaged roofs. According to Civil Protection, a tree falling onto a high-voltage power line cut off electricity to approximately 2,900 customers. Local roads were also affected, with several sections closed to traffic due to debris and vegetation on the pavement.

"It is unacceptable that we lose all connectivity during these events."
