Three men arrested in Segarra for attempted aggravated robbery in Talladell

The swift action of the agricultural warehouse owner, who blocked the only exit with his vehicle, was crucial in frustrating the initial theft.

The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested three individuals, including one minor, in Fonolleres last Sunday, following a failed aggravated robbery attempt at a Talladell agricultural warehouse on Friday.

The Catalan police arrested three men, one minor and two aged 25 and 28, for an alleged crime of aggravated robbery and damages. The events began last Friday at an agricultural warehouse in Talladell, where the thieves were surprised by the owner.
Thanks to a video surveillance system, the owner was able to reach the premises while alerting 112. Once there, he decided to block the only exit route from the warehouse by positioning his vehicle, thus frustrating the immediate escape of the assailants.
Seeing themselves trapped, the three individuals attempted to ram the car obstructing their exit, without success. They chose to flee on foot across the fields, abandoning their foreign-plated van and all the material they had managed to steal.
The arrests occurred two days later, on Sunday, when a patrol identified two of the suspects, thanks to security camera images, at a gas station in Fonolleres, on the A-2 highway. The third member was located inside a nearby van, which contained various tools related to burglaries, such as bolt cutters and gloves.
The detainees were brought before the court yesterday, with the minor transferred to the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office and the adults, one of whom had prior records, appearing before the Cervera Investigating Court.
