The city of Cervera, capital of La Segarra region, has been chosen to host the Jamborinada 2027, the Minyons Escoltes i Guies de Catalunya gathering, which will bring together over 13,000 people on April 10 and 11.

The announcement of the venue was formalized on Tuesday, January 27, with the signing of a collaboration agreement between the Cervera City Council and the organizing entity, Minyons Escoltes i Guies de Catalunya (MEG). The agreement, signed by Mayor Jan Pomés and MEG General Commissioner Laura Gibert, guarantees the necessary logistical and infrastructure support for the massive event.

"Cervera is a grateful and welcoming city, and having been chosen as the venue for the meeting is a source of pride and an opportunity for improvement for the municipality."

Jan Pomés · Mayor of Cervera
The Jamborinada 2027 is framed within a double historical anniversary: the celebration of 100 years of organized Catalan scouting and 50 years since the founding of MEG. The goal is to reinforce the sense of belonging and collectively project the future of the movement under the motto 'We were, we are, and we will be'.

"very grateful and happy for the reception the event is having in Cervera."

Laura Gibert · General Commissioner of Minyons Escoltes i Guies de Catalunya
More than 50 local entities from Cervera and the region will collaborate with the gathering, which will require the help of about 800 volunteers, known as 'minairons'. The organization seeks to generate a positive impact on the territory, highlighting the city as a space committed to education and youth participation. The last edition was held in Tàrrega in 2017.
