The Cervera City Council (Paeria) presented the new logo and program yesterday for the Millenary Year, commemorating 1,000 years since the city's first written reference, running from February 2026 to 2027.

The celebration period will run from February 2026 until the same month in 2027. Throughout this year, the capital of Segarra will offer an extensive cultural and civic program designed to link the town's historical past with its future projection.

"The project is born from the cohesion, commitment, and enthusiasm of the entire city."

Jan Pomés · Mayor of Cervera
The new logo aims to reflect Cervera's identity and vitality and will be used to identify all commemorative activities. The Millenary Commission is composed of individuals with cultural, artistic, and humanistic prestige.
To manage the project's magnitude, the City Council will allocate a special budget to guarantee the central events and coordination. The anniversary will have the support of public institutions, private company sponsorship, and the involvement of the local economic sector.
