The event, blending history, fire, and esotericism, depicted the symbolic journey of the Bourbon monarch's absolute power and tyranny, culminating in his transformation into the Goat-Man under Lilith's influence. This edition set a record, with approximately 450 kilograms of gunpowder used and over 40,000 visitors.
The central night began at 11 PM with the 'Encesa' in Plaça de la Universitat, reviewing historical events like the War of Succession. The festival continued with a fire parade to Cal Racó, where the Diables de Cervera welcomed the audience with the 'Ball de la Polla'.
The first part of the show highlighted the obsessions of the first Bourbon king with large mobile structures. The performance combined heritage, popular imagination, and visual effects, turning the city's streets into a stage of fire, music, and symbolism with the participation of local entities.
Pol Bosch and Gemma Oriol are bidding farewell as artistic directors of the Aquelarre, having led it with the company Alea Teatre since 2024. They expressed great satisfaction with their tenure, stating it's "not goodbye forever."
The mayor of Cervera, Jan Pomés, expressed confidence in surpassing the previous edition's record of 40,000 visitors, noting improvements in space distribution, such as consolidating food trucks on Rambla Lluís Sant Pere. Pomés stated he is "very satisfied" and concluded that "this is very positive for Cervera."
