The city of Cervera has launched its annual Passion Play season this March, featuring significant technical upgrades to the Resurrection scene and a reinforced cast of local performers.

The production team has focused on enhancing the lighting to provide more drama during key moments of the performance. Co-director Mariona Dalmases highlighted the increase in children participating this year, following a successful recruitment drive for performers under 10 years old.
This year's cast features Laia Ayllón as Marta and Òscar Aldomà as Judas. The play, which lasts over three hours, is a Cultural Heritage Treasure and involves a massive team of 300 people working at the Gran Teatre de la Passió.
Performances are scheduled for March 14, 21, and 28, and April 3 and 11. All shows will start at 4:30 PM, maintaining a tradition that has spanned over 500 years in the Segarra region.
