The city of Cervera launched its annual Passion Play season on March 7th, introducing technical and artistic upgrades designed to heighten the drama of the performance's most pivotal moments.

This year's production features a significant reinforcement of the lighting design to add spectacularity to key scenes, particularly the Resurrection. The technical team has focused on creating a more immersive experience for the audience in the heart of the Segarra region.

"We have worked on intensity and feelings, and we have doubled the number of boys and girls in the scene where they are the protagonists."

Mariona Dalmases · Co-director of the Passió de Cervera
The production also emphasizes generational renewal, following a successful call for children under 10 years old to join the cast. Performances are scheduled to continue throughout March and April, maintaining Cervera's status as a cultural landmark.
