The Ministry of Transport is starting emergency repair works this Monday on the A-2 highway between Cervera and la Panadella to address severe pavement deterioration.

The right lane in both directions has been closed throughout the weekend in the Segarra region. This safety measure followed heavy rains last Friday, which worsened existing potholes and led to several flat tires and minor collisions.

"We feel completely abandoned."

Government representative José Crespín stated that repairs were delayed until today to ensure the asphalt was dry. A full renovation of the highway, costing 13.28 million euros, is expected to begin in late March.
