Recent heavy rain and wind have exacerbated the poor state of the pavement in the Segarra region. On Friday afternoon, dozens of drivers reported punctured tires, cracked windshields, and chain-reaction collisions as vehicles attempted to avoid deep potholes.
“"It should have been the first section to be addressed by the State, and it will end up being the last."
Emergency repairs are scheduled to begin this Monday, according to government representative José Crespín. Local authorities have been demanding a full renovation of this high-traffic section since 2019, with major works not expected to start until March.
