The works began seventeen days after severe road degradation caused damage to thirty vehicles, including punctured tires and broken windshields. Following temporary patching, heavy machinery moved in this morning to perform a more substantial intervention on the provincial border.
The 3.99 million euro project includes milling the damaged surface and laying five centimeters of new bituminous mix. Additionally, the contract covers the installation of new horizontal signage to ensure safety standards are met on this high-traffic route.
