The municipalities of Segarra suffered power and fiber optic supply cuts yesterday for the second time in three days due to a new wind episode. This incident affected areas such as Estaràs, Gàver, and Vergós Guerrejat, as well as Freixenet, Sant Domí, Castell de Santa Maria, and Melió in Sant Guim de Freixenet, and Montpalau in Ribera d’Ondara.
Sources from Endesa confirmed that the fault, which occurred at 10:56 a.m., was caused by the fall of two electric poles and initially left 226 subscribers without service. Although service was partially restored, 40 users remained without connection until the afternoon. Wind gusts exceeded 90 km/h in Espot, 84 km/h in Montsec, and 77 km/h in Castellnou de Seana.

In the Noguera region, the access road to Gerb (LV-9047) will remain closed for at least one month. The Mayor of Os de Balaguer, Estefania Rufach, explained that a new metallic net will be installed and the slope will be cleaned following the rockslides on Saturday. Meanwhile, in Montellà i Martinet, a tree brought down an electric line, leaving residents of Montellà without power until midday.
The storm also had serious consequences in the Pyrenees. In the Val d’Aran, the Port de la Bonaigua (C-28) remains closed after technicians from the Centre de Lauegi triggered seven controlled avalanches. The snow depth exceeds 1.60 meters, and the avalanche risk has been raised to 3-4 in Aran, Sobirà, and Ribagorça.
