Oil spill on road causes accident between Aitona and Soses

A driver was uninjured after suffering an accident on the LP-7041 road between Aitona and Soses on Wednesday morning due to a significant oil spill on the pavement.

The incident occurred around half past eight on Wednesday, February 4, when the vehicle encountered the oil or diesel stain. The Roads service immediately took charge of the urgent cleaning of the road to restore traffic safety.

"A dangerous situation has been occurring on the road for days due to oil or diesel spillage, probably from a large machine."

The Aitona Town Council has issued an alert to residents, as this slippery road situation has been repeated in previous days. For this reason, the council has requested citizen cooperation.
Drivers and residents are asked that if they observe any vehicle with a significant fluid leak, they immediately report it to the council or emergency services to prevent further accidents on the LP-7041 road.
