This year's edition is particularly significant due to the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the Festa del Mandongo (Pork Festival), the traditional event that will open the program on Thursday, January 22, at the Pavelló Polivalent. Regarding music, the main attraction will be the Festa Major concert on Friday 23 night, featuring performances by Doctor Prats, Anna Gisbert, and Amygdala, with advance tickets priced at 12 euros.
Friday, January 23, a local holiday, will see an intensified program starting in the morning, including the traditional Bowling Tournament at Parc de Magalàs and the Missa Major at the Església Mare de Déu de l’Assumpció. There will also be the show Woof by Pere Hosta at CCM Lo Casino and a Space Mission – Escape Room throughout the town streets.
The Alcarràs Winter Festival offers around thirty activities for all audiences, combining tradition, music, and family entertainment.
The weekend continues with a wide cultural and sports offering. Saturday 24 highlights include the Heritage Route (CIMRA and Pou de Gel), the family play Sigues Tortuga by Xip Xap Teatre, and the dance session with the Orquestra Metropol. On Sunday 25, the closing events will feature the sardana dance and the café concert performed by the Cobla Montgrins at the Pavelló Polivalent.
