Almacelles celebrates Festa de l'Aigua with four days of festivities

The Segrià town hosts its 70th annual float parade alongside live music and traditional Catalan events.

The town of Almacelles kicks off its annual Festa de l'Aigua this Friday, February 27, featuring four days of celebrations including traditional parades, live concerts, and community gatherings.

The highlight of the weekend is the 70th float parade taking place this Sunday through the streets of Almacelles. Other traditional events include the 46th national sardana competition and a gathering of giants (gegants) accompanied by local musicians.
Music fans can enjoy performances by Band The Cool, Mazinger Band, and the renowned Montgrins orchestra. The local MAU Museum will also host the Almacellenc of the Year 2025 award ceremony, recognizing outstanding local citizens.
The festival concludes on Monday, March 2, a local holiday, with the inauguration of new facilities at the local nursing home and family-friendly activities at the fairground with discounted prices for children.
