Catalan Government plans 163.6 million euro investment for Ponent in 2026 budget

The Catalan Government has unveiled its 2026 budget proposal, allocating 163.6 million euros to the Ponent region, marking a 17% increase from the 2023 approved accounts.

The Segrià district will receive the largest share, totaling 91.5 million euros. Key projects include the Segarra-Garrigues canal, the new Lleida Police headquarters, and significant upgrades to the Arnau de Vilanova Hospital.
Other investments focus on railway improvements for FGC, road maintenance, and the expansion of local schools and primary care centers across the Noguera, Garrigues, and Urgell areas.
