Collective bargaining wages in the province of Lleida saw an average increase of 2.69% in March, a figure that remains below the 3.3% annual CPI recorded in the same month.

This salary increase, identical to that of the previous month, is almost four tenths below inflation, which reached its highest value since June 2024, driven by the effects of the war in the Middle East, according to provisional data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
During March, a total of four collective agreements were signed in the province of Lleida, covering 34,733 workers from 3,702 companies. Of these, two agreements were company-specific, with a salary variation of 1.29% affecting 133 employees. The other two, of broader scope, involved a 2.7% increase for 34,600 workers, according to the collective bargaining statistics from the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy.
The average annual working hours agreed upon in collective bargaining until March stood at 1,752.18 hours per worker, equivalent to 38.8 hours per week. This figure exceeds the 37.5 weekly hours of maximum legal working time that the Government had proposed in a bill to reduce working hours, which was rejected last year.
The trade unions UGT and CCOO have presented a proposal to employers for the new Agreement for Employment and Collective Bargaining (AENC), which includes a fixed annual salary increase of 4% over the next three years, totaling 12% by 2028. Additionally, they propose further increases for lower wages and a review clause in case of inflation deviation.
