The performance, starting at 7:00 PM in the church of Santa Maria, will feature the voice and piano repertoire titled “Sonoritats Poètiques”. According to Dolcet, it will be “an intimate journey that speaks of the birth of desire, falling in love, and the fleeting nature of time,” with pieces by composers such as Reynaldo Hahn, Poulenc, and Albert Guinovart.
Iolanda Dolcet, originally from Aitona, is a renowned bel canto artist, art historian, and musicologist, as well as a music professor at the Institut Gili i Gaya de Lleida. Oksana Shymanska, born in Lviv, received her musical training there before moving to Catalonia. In 2023, she debuted at the Auditori de Barcelona and released her first album, Travessia, featuring solo piano works by Catalan composers.
The concert will also provide an opportunity to learn about the history of the church, which is a Local Cultural Asset (BCIL). The musical event will conclude with a tasting of local products provided by the bakery Adrià i Sònia and local producers offering seasonal fruit.
The Escenaris Singulars project is supported by the regional service Jove Segrià, the Institut d’Estudis Ilerdencs, the Diputació de Lleida, and the town councils of the participating locations.
