The first free Avant reinforcement train between Lleida and Barcelona departed this Monday with an hour and a half delay and minimal occupancy, causing confusion among users.

The service, announced by the Government late on Sunday to facilitate mobility following cuts to Regional lines, was scheduled to depart from Lleida at 7:25 AM, but finally left at 8:57 AM.
This train, with a capacity for 581 seats, only carried 18 passengers, representing 3% occupancy. The delay originated with the train scheduled to make the reverse journey, departing from Barcelona at 6 AM, which left an hour late.
Simultaneously, Rodalies and Regional trains circulating through the Lleida station accumulated delays ranging from 15 to 40 minutes. Many users were unaware of the additional Avant services due to the late announcement.
Currently, the RL3 line maintains its usual route between Lleida and Cervera, while the RL4 (Lleida-Terrassa) covers the section between Cervera and Manresa by road. The R13 Rodalies service only operates by train between Lleida and Vinaixa, with the rest of the journey to Reus covered by bus.
