The Orfeó Lleidatà Guitar Group, directed by Mario Peña y Lillo, delivered an exceptional concert at Sant Antolí Church in Aitona, as part of the Escenaris Singulars cycle by the Consell Comarcal del Segrià.

The Sant Antolí church in Aitona hosted a high-quality concert last Saturday by the Orfeó Lleidatà Guitar Group, under the direction of Mario Peña y Lillo. The event was part of the Escenaris Singulars cycle, organized by the Culture department of the Consell Comarcal del Segrià, and attracted over 150 attendees.
Álvaro Boqué, third vice-president and head of the Culture area, highlighted the success of the Escenaris Singulars program, which has brought music, heritage, and gastronomy to over 2,000 people. The deputy mayor of Aitona, Eduard Martín, and guide Antonieta López, welcomed the attendees and shared details about the church's history.
Mario Peña y Lillo and the young guitarists, aged between 14 and 19, performed pieces by composers such as Jorge Cardoso, Astor Piazzola, Vivaldi, Granados, and Mompou, as well as film soundtracks like "Star Wars" and "1492", impressing the audience with their precision and virtuosity.
Following the concert, a gastronomic tasting was offered, featuring a seasonal fruit salad harvested in Aitona.
The Escenaris Singulars project was supported by the regional youth service Jove Segrià, the Institut d'Estudis Ilerdencs, the Diputació de Lleida, and the local town councils involved.
