The owners of the historic Trèvol toy shop in Lleida have announced the permanent closure of the establishment in 2026, ending over four decades of service in the city center.

Located in Carrer del Carme, the shop has been a staple of the Eix Comercial since 1983. Founders Miguel Borraz and Mercè Trepat are retiring, and the lack of generational takeover has forced the closure of what they claim is the only non-franchised toy store in the area.

"We have seen children who came to buy toys and, years later, came back as adults with their children and grandchildren."

The business moved from its original Carrer Audiència location in 2016. Throughout its history, Trèvol stood out by offering a wide range of educational and high-quality products, allowing them to maintain a loyal customer base and even export toys across Europe.
