The brigade, composed of two operators and a coordinator, has been working since July in neighborhoods linked to the Employment Workshops projects. These neighborhoods are the Historic Center, Noguerola, Mariola, el Clot, and el Secà de Sant Pere.
This morning, the work focused on Plaça dels Pagesos, where the pavement and walls were cleaned, including the removal of graffiti. The mayor of Lleida, Fèlix Larrosa, and the Councilor for Employment, Xavi Blanco, visited the tasks and positively assessed both the work done and the training received by the participants.
The mayor announced that the team will soon move to the Historic Center to carry out intensive high-pressure water cleaning in streets with high hospitality activity, such as the areas around Sant Martí, Bonaire, Teuleries, and Camp de Mart. Traffic will need to be temporarily cut off during these operations.
This action complements the daily cleaning service and is an initiative subsidized by the Servei Públic d'Ocupació de Catalunya and the Lleida City Council, as part of the 'Treball en els barris' project.
