The Mossos d'Esquadra and the Guardia Civil dismantled a criminal group of four individuals in Lleida in February 2026, who are accused of 25 aggravated robberies across Spain.

The joint operation culminated in the arrest of the four group members in Lleida, as they were returning from the Basque Country. They are charged with a total of 25 counts of aggravated robbery committed in provinces including Barcelona, Girona, Madrid, Álava, Guipúzcoa, and Cantabria.
During the intervention, security forces recovered over 6,000 euros in cash, in addition to jewelry and other valuables, the total value of which exceeds 100,000 euros.
The group employed a specific modus operandi: they assaulted homes at night, taking advantage of the owners' absence. They gained access by jumping perimeter fences and forcing windows. Their itinerant nature allowed them to carry out campaigns lasting up to five days, sometimes committing between four and five robberies in a single afternoon.
The investigation began in October 2025, following an increase in robberies with a similar pattern in the Community of Madrid. It was later determined that the organization was based in a residence in Barcelona and used a specific vehicle for their criminal movements.
