La Seu d’Urgell has opened its doors to the first edition of Pirineu Click, a Playmobil collector's exhibition that can be visited for free until next Sunday, July 5th. The event, which revives a previous leisure proposal with an expanded format, takes place in two municipal venues: the Sant Domènec hall, featuring four dioramas, and the El Passeig civic center, with five more, including historical themes.
The opening ceremony was attended by the mayor of La Seu, Joan Barrera; the vice-president of the Provincial Council of Lleida, Agustí Jiménez; the councilor for Economic Promotion, Gemma Tó; and the president of the association PlayChic, Sílvia Caravaca.
In parallel to the fair, Mayor Joan Barrera accompanied Agustí Jiménez on a tour of three major city infrastructures funded by the Provincial Council of Lleida: the new facilities of the Fundació Sant Hospital (with a €3 million subsidy), the works at the Parc Olímpic del Segre for the 2027 World Whitewater Championships (with €1 million), and the construction of the new headquarters for INEFC-Pirineus (with €4 million).
Joan Barrera expressed gratitude for the contributions, while Agustí Jiménez reaffirmed the Council's commitment, highlighting the importance of these investments for territorial development. "Making these economic resources available is, ultimately, our essence," he stated.
Councilor Gemma Tó emphasized that the initiative aims to promote family play beyond screens. Sílvia Caravaca highlighted the participation of children in creating dioramas, such as that of Cesc Seira Navarro, a 15-year-old who is exhibiting the 'Knights vs. Samurai' diorama.
Pirineu Click also has a charitable component, with proceeds going to La Seu Solidària. Additionally, parallel activities such as workshops and a raffle have been organized, along with the BuscaClick scavenger hunt, which invites participants to find themed figures in the shop windows of local businesses.
