Bottom-placed Atlètic Lleida hosts Espanyol B today, Sunday, at 6:00 PM at the Camp d'Esports, marking the start of the second half of the season with the urgent goal of securing a much-needed win.

The team led by Gabri is currently six points away from the play-out spot, held by Valencia Mestalla, and seven points from direct salvation, currently occupied by Olot. This precarious situation forces the Lleida side to face the clash with no margin for error, having accumulated six consecutive games without a victory.
The need for improvement follows a first half of the season where the main deficit was defense, having conceded 29 goals. To reverse this trend, the sports management, led by Alberto Monsalvo, reinforced the squad with fullbacks Carlos Cobo and Marc Vargas, and center-backs Borja López and Igor Irazu.

"Competing is no longer enough for us; we must win now. A victory would dissipate all the doubts we have."

Some of the new signings, such as Marc Vargas and Borja López, could debut today, while the presence of Igor Irazu is doubtful due to registration issues. Espanyol B arrives mid-table with 23 points, having recently won away against Girona B.
