Lleida approves road project to connect with Torre Salses area

The Víctor Torres Avenue expansion includes four lanes and a bike path with a 5.6 million euro budget.

The Lleida City Council approved this Thursday the initial project for the expansion of Víctor Torres Avenue, which will become the primary access road to the Torre Salses district.

The construction work will take place between the LL-11 highway and Pla d'Urgell Avenue, covering an area of 33,100 square meters. The total investment for this infrastructure project is set at 5,632,625.76 euros.
The new road layout will feature two lanes in each direction and a one-way bike lane. Two roundabouts will be built at the intersections with Palauet and Pla d'Urgell streets to manage traffic flow towards the future commercial and leisure complex.
Additionally, the local government has granted a four-year temporary license to the Unió Esportiva Bordeta football club. This agreement allows the sports association to continue using the municipal football fields located in the La Bordeta neighborhood.
