The exhibition, which travels through various cities marked by the importance of water, arrives in Lleida to highlight the fundamental role of the Segre River. This Ebro tributary has shaped Lleida's orchards, boosted irrigation, and been key to the province's agricultural and industrial development. Since its creation, the CHE has considered Lleida a strategic territory, as demonstrated by the first agricultural exhibition organized by the institution in the city in 1928.
The relationship between Lleida and the CHE remains active, with projects for regulation, irrigation infrastructure, and environmental actions that have consolidated participatory and sustainable management of the water resource. The centenary's traveling exhibition is being held at the Temporary Exhibition Hall of the Lleida Museum, in the city center, as a space to reflect on this legacy and project it into the future.
The exhibition's inauguration will take place on Thursday, September 17th, at 7:00 PM.
