The Civil Guard in Lleida has launched a new mobile weapons inspection unit that will travel across the province once a month to bring administrative services closer to rural residents.

Presented by the Government sub-delegate José Crespín, this initiative aims to serve the owners of nearly 20,000 active weapon licenses in the region. The service will focus on permit renewals and ownership transfers, which previously required a trip to the capital.

"The new service will allow us to gain in service and proximity."

The mobile unit will prioritize towns like Mollerussa and areas in Les Garrigues due to their high number of registered hunters and sport shooters. Citizens can book appointments online or by phone to access the service in their local area.
