The Lleida Museum has opened the exhibition Instruments of the Soul. Matter and Spirit in Medieval Catalonia, featuring thirty pieces exploring the link between humanity and the divine.

Running until June 14, the display is a joint effort between the Lleida Museum, the MEV Medieval Art Museum, the Diocesan Museum of Solsona, and the Girona Art Museum. This Catalan Art Museums Network (XMAC) initiative allows each museum to showcase its own collection while sharing a unified concept and design to minimize logistical costs.

"It is an opportunity to see pieces that are usually not on display, such as the Virgin of the Fillols, which the public can now see from an unprecedented proximity."

Albert Velasco · Exhibition Curator
The exhibition is divided into six sections, covering sensory dimensions, sacred materials, and the presence of the divine in domestic life. Items such as chalices, parchments, and sculptures are highlighted for their symbolic and spiritual roles rather than just their artistic value. Director Clara Arbués praised the collaborative model for turning logistical challenges into a shared cultural success.
